Methodology
Synterprise will follow a methodology developed
through experience with similar EAM projects. Assigned consultants
will
have an appropriate balance of technical knowledge/experience
(software functionality, IT infrastructure, etc.), maintenance
work-process development/experience (best practices, mobile
data collection, condition-based maintenance, etc.), and
business acumen (root cause analysis, critical path, total
cost of ownership, financial/accounting issues, Key Performance
Indicators, process control/management etc.). |
| The following graphic illustrates our methodology and the interaction
between objectives, deliverables, and activities. |
Key Organizational Elements – critical
to upgrade and operation: |
| |
• |
Steering Team – controls project deadlines
and budgeting; establish goals and objectives plus rules for standardization |
| |
• |
Core Team – makes decisions on setup aspects for the CMMS/EAM
product |
| |
• |
Business Process Leads – responsible for expertise in particular
function or area |
| |
• |
MAXIMO Administrator – overall leader for MAXIMO system |
| |
• |
The client site may want to provide staff in key roles on the
Upgrade Project to lead or assist the consultants. |
| |
• |
Change Management is also an important process and role. Someone
must “own” the change and document – once approved |
| Unique Synterprise EAM/CMMS Software Solutions
The Resource Leveling Program module works within the CMMS/EAM
to balance required craft hours with available craft hours. The
ultimate goal is to produce a believable and “doable” weekly
schedule. With the RLP you can automatically generate a weekly
schedule which includes routine maintenance as well as project-related
work. And this schedule is stored in a permanent table for compliance
reporting. The overall result is enhanced work force efficiency
and increased backlog reduction.
The Project Cost Tracking module works inside the CMMS/EAM to
track costs related to construction and installation activities
and associated project management. It shows budget values, committed
costs, expended amounts and variances, plus a forecast of completion
time and cost. |
